Inspired Under The Stars
When women come together amazing things happen, and we certainly saw that come true at our very first Inspired Series: Inspired Under The Stars dinner event a few weeks ago!
When the wonderful and uber talented Amanda Pennington of Direction Event Planning approached us to collaborate to create a dinner party like no other, we jumped at the chance to create inspiring conversation, delicious food and drink in a unique and IG-worthy setting.
If you’ve ever been to the Lustic Life Book Club you’ll know the type of magical conversations and heart-felt connections that happen, often followed by a spontaneous dinner to not let the night end. Creating a dinner series that’s dedicated to this type of authentic and refreshing experience was high on our bucket list.
And with that the Inspired Series was born.
To aim of the evening was to bring about some down to earth connection and that happened through a mix of informal introductions and a mixed seating plan. At dinner, inspiring conversations were prompted by some thought provoking questions like “What’s a goal you’d like to achieve by the end of this year?” and “What’s the most beautiful place you’ve been to?” and guests were gifted an inspired notebook, pencil, palo santo and crystals (both from Island Naturals Retail) to take the inspiration home with them as well as some beautiful photos courtesy of Jenna Leigh Photography.
To make sure this event was truly worthy of the $100 price tag, it was a prerequisite that the venue was totally wow and somewhere not open to the public generally, and the Boggy Sands Club rooftop really did deliver on this!
We also made sure we had an endless supply of prosecco (duh) and well-crafted wine pairings (thanks to Premier Crew) to accompany the locally sourced, health-conscious and delicious three course meal provided by the wonderful team at Tia’s Table.

Despite Boggy Sands being a dreamy location in its own right, we wanted to create an intimate setting for guests to relax and feel at home and we‘re grateful to Rugs Oriental for providing so many wonderful rugs, cushions, lanterns and throws to really bring that homey feeling to the rooftop. Another goal was to create some truly bespoke decor, inspired by our visits to various Create & Cultivate conferences.
With a lot of blood, sweat and luckily no tears, we created a handmade palm-wall set to sparkle under hanging bistro lights, a flower-laden family-style banquet table and an almost-too-pretty-to-eat Scratch gourmet doughnut wall. We said, almost - those bad boy doughnuts were the star of the night! And did you know they even do vegan doughnuts (mind-blown).

We are so grateful to the 20 amazing women that joined us for this magical evening of connection and inspiration. We are so proud of the closeness and genuine love that was shared amongst old friends and new!
